Adding Images using WordPress

Here’s how to add an image in WordPress. This is the old way (classic editor). Click here for the new way.

1. Click the ‘Add Media’ button.

2. Choose your Alignment (Left, Center, Right, None) and your Size.

3. Insert it into the page.

Note: Try to make your images smaller before you load them onto your website. There are heaps of good programs to do this. Don’t load up huge raw files onto your site. In general, images should be 300Kb or less.

PDFs: just remember PDFs are NOT images. They are document. You won’t see an image preview of your PDF unless you do something fancy. Web images are either jpgs, pngs or gifs.
